Pet Health Certificates

If you are considering traveling with your pet, whether it be within the United States or abroad, it is important to be aware of each state and country’s rules and regulations for importation or movement of pets. In the United States, the interstate movement of animals requires a pet health certificate. Many countries and airlines require an official health certificate performed by a USDA accredited veterinarian. You should contact your veterinarian directly to find out if he/she is accredited. The process of obtaining the necessary testing or examinations can take days to weeks, so you should plan well in advance to be sure all paperwork is complete prior to your travels. To find out more information about individual state and country regulations, airline requirements and fees please go the United States Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services website by clicking here. If you wish to find out more information about the state of California’s requirements, please click the following link.

Fresh to Frozen Pet Food

Healthy Paws was inspired by the principles of the “Biologically appropriate diet” created by the renowned veterinarian, Dr. Ian Billinghurst. He observed the health benefits for dogs and cats fed a diet of food in its natural state verses a diet of cooked or processed foods containing additives and supplements. At Healthy Paws, we continually refine this concept through collaboration with our consumers, retailers and trained pet nutritionists. We also offer a variety of simple minced proteins, bones, and natural dietary supplements. Healthy Paws is a family owned Canadian company that offers “Fresh-to-frozen” products that capture food’s nutrients in their richest state. We are dedicated to providing high quality nutrition through the use of human-grade ingredients that are preservative and additive free. We have developed a variety of raw food products to help your pet achieve a balanced diet from natural sources and we’ve made it easy to serve with our portion sizes and re-sealable packaging.

Delivered quickly, and they made my turtle very happy. 10 out of 10That Pet Place has a wide variety of items for all of my exotic pets- I don’t need to go to different stores to find what I want for each of my pets. 9 out of 10I ordered from TFP years ago, the last time I had an aquarium. When I decided to go for wet pets again, TFP is one of the first sites I visited. Price and selection beat anything I can find locally-by far. 9 out of 10 for a first time customer, I was favorably impressed with the way my order was handled. The products are being used now, and I do like what I’m seeing in my dogs because of them! -onehandygal. 10 out of 10Customer support contacted ME regarding my availability to receive the package; not wanting the live plants to sit unattended. I will always “Go to” That Fish Place, That Pet Place for my pond plants. Have used the same vet for 4 years and he has doneok; i took my old tibetan spaniel in for grooming. When i picked her up her right leg was up to her stomach. I have spinal stenois and on that particularday i was in great pain and said nothing. For three weeks i spent time finding a combination offoods she would eat and helped her walk. At firstshe was very weak, but little by little she walked aroundon her three legs by the 6th week she was using alllegs. I called the vet to find out what they had done and heplayed dumb. So i got my records sent to another vet; when i wentto pick up meds for the dogs; they refused servicebecause they were friends with the other vet. I got the paperwork and called several vets and finallysettled on one i had used many years prior. I told thatvet what happened; in case he didnt want to provideme with a script for my dogs meds. He didnt mindand was concerned that the original vet had refusedto deal with the matter. What can i do to see that this doesnt happen anymorewith this vet and their calling to prevent vets from helping me out.

These inhabit the intestinal tract of dogs and cats and are most common in puppies and kittens. These parasites live in the small intestines of dogs, cats, domestic animals and wildlife, attaching to the inside of the intestine using suckers, and are generally transmitted by fleas. As fleas bite to eat, they inject saliva under the skin. Fleas can also transmit tapeworms and spread other infectious diseases. Fleas are most prevalent through spring and summer, peaking in early fall. Fleas are present all year round in most parts of the USA. In colder areas, fleas will wait out the winter in your home. If they turn the paper reddish brown, you have fleas. Consult your veterinarian to ensure the products you select are appropriate for your pet; some ingredients are not safe for cats. If you have both dogs and cats at home, consult with your veterinarian. Sudden death occurs rarely in dogs, but happens more commonly in cats. Cats have approximately double the prevalence of tapeworms compared to dogs. This may be partially due to cats ingesting fleas during grooming. Since tapeworms are transmitted by the ingestion of fleas, this indicates that more cats should receive year-round flea prevention to reduce exposure to fleas and subsequently reduce the risk of tapeworm infection.

The baking soda will deodorize as well as clean your dog. Dogs enjoy chewing on bones and burying them in the backyard, but dogs and their owners will not like what can happen after. Your canine’s teeth might seem impressive, but many dogs break or chip teeth while gnawing on bones. The real danger comes when dogs swallow the pieces of bones. Whether you eat ribs or just have a small wishbone, avoid feeding bones to your dog. There are often reports of pets being hurt, getting sick or sustaining injuries from purchased toys. Many situations involve products that are imported from other countries where rules about using various materials are more lax than in the U. S. After hearing such a report, many shoppers check labels and are more careful about what type of pet toys they buy. Make your own toys to be sure they are as safe as possible. You will know what goes into your homemade toys and how sturdily they are constructed, giving you peace of mind. If you want a noisemaker inside the toy, put some dried beans inside a small cardboard box. Roll up a hand towel and tie a knot in the middle to create a tug-of-war toy. After your dog eats the cooked marrow, he will have a long-lasting chew-bone. Tie the string on a cabinet handle for a toy the cat will reach up to play with. Put the lid on tightly, and let the cat roll the toy around on the floor. Add some colorful pieces of paper or craft feathers to add some color to the toy, if you wish.
