Whole Health Mobile Pet Care’s Home Page
We are a Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and Physical Rehabilitation mobile practice based in the Triangle area of North Carolina. We provide Chinese Veterinary medical services such as acupuncture, herbal therapy, tui-na and food therapy to dogs, cats and horses as well as canine physical rehabilitation. We believe whole-heartedly in an integrative approach to veterinary medical care. This means that we work in conjunction with your primary care veterinarian to combine conventional Western medicine with Eastern medicine as an integrative approach to develop the treatments best suited for your pet’s individual needs. This approach allows us to treat the whole patient rather than just one organ system or problem at a time.
We will come to your home or a place of your choosing to treat your pet in an environment comfortable to them. We find when a pet is relaxed and confident they respond even better to treatment. Even though some diseases are very common, every animal is different; therefore every treatment recommendation should be different and based on your pet’s needs.
Pet Insurance with Wellness Rewards for Routine Care
Embrace’s accident and illness policy covers the vet bills when your pet is sick or injured. Wellness Rewards, our flexible preventative care plan, reimburses for everyday veterinary, training, and grooming costs. It works like a health savings account and rewards you with free money for being proactive with your pet’s care. With three options for Wellness Rewards reimbursement, you can choose the perfect amount for each pet, each year. Puppies and kittens usually require more vet visits their first year, so $650 is a solid option for new pet parents.
An older pet who just had a teeth cleaning last year may only need $250. With Embrace, you’re able to change your Wellness Rewards amount each policy year, making it perfectly personalized to meet your needs. When you purchase Wellness Rewards, it will show as a separate charge from Embrace Pet Management. Whether you decide to pay monthly or annually, the timing of your Wellness Rewards payment will match the billing on your pet insurance policy. Wellness Rewards is not available for standalone purchase at this time.
How Pets Help Manage Depression
In a recent survey by the Human-Animal Bond Research Institute, 74% of pet owners said having a pet improved their mental health. If depression makes you feel lonely, pets can break the cycle. Brown believes there’s something special about the love and attention her pets give her. Knowing you have to feed, walk, or care for your pet may give you a sense of purpose and routine. Petting or stroking an animal can improve your mood.
In a recent survey, people with severe depression felt more relaxed, less lonely, and had less pain after short visits with a therapy dog. Pet owners tend to get more exercise than people without pets. Depression might make you want to avoid other people, but pets can open up your world. Studies suggest pets help you get to know people, spark friendships, and build your support network. Try these tips to get the most benefits to your mental health from owning a pet.
If you don’t have a pet, get involved with other people’s animals. A pet won’t make your symptoms vanish, but it may give you a healthy boost.
